This policy explains how Game Nite uses cookies and similar technologies (such as localStorage) on our websites and apps. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use similar storage mechanisms such as localStorage and sessionStorage to remember your sign-in token and your interface preferences. For simplicity, this page uses "cookies" to refer to all of these.

Your choices
- Cookie banner: Optional analytics, browser error monitoring, and ad measurement are on by default. Choose "Use essentials only" in the banner (or open "Cookie preferences" in the website footer) at any time to opt out.
- Do Not Track: If your browser sends a Do Not Track (DNT) signal, we will not initialize PostHog analytics or our Reddit/Google ad-measurement tags for your session, regardless of any banner choice.
- Global Privacy Control: If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and we honor it automatically — no login or extra verification required. The practical effect is that we will not load PostHog or our Reddit/Google ad-measurement tags for your session.
- Browser settings: All major browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break sign-in and other core features.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties acting as our service providers. They are listed in the table above. These providers are bound by contract to use the data only to provide the service to us. The advertising tags we currently allow are Reddit Ads and Google Ads measurement tags, used solely to measure our own paid campaigns (see the table above) — we do not run third-party display ads or social plugins on Game Nite.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For material changes, we will provide additional notice as described in our Privacy Policy.
